Kenneth Provence Obituary

Ken was born in Pontiac Illinois on February 21, 1947, to Bob Burton Provence and Donna Loveday Provence. He grew up in Ogden, Utah and attended Ogden City schools. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. His home base was at Clark Air Base in the Philippine Islands. While he was stationed there, he met the absolute love of his life, Gloria Roaquin Aguilar. They were married on February 5. 1969. Together they had two children, Edward and Lisa Jo. They moved back to the States and raised their children in Utah. 

Ken loved his family deeply. He would do whatever possible for others but found it difficult to receive from others. He is deeply missed by family and friends. 

Ken was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 colorectal cancer the middle of September, 2023 and died November 17, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, daughter, Lisa Jo Elliott, granddaughter Kailen Duce, grandsons, KC Duce and Cason Provence, great granddaughters, Trystnn and Maddlynn, his mother Donna Marti, sisters, Ann Hubbell, Evonne (Charles, Sr.) Kapinos, JoLyn (Gary) Carlson, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Edward, all grandparents, biological father (Bob), in-laws, stepfather, Evo Marti, multiple aunts, uncles, and nieces. Ken wished to be cremated. 

A memorial service will be held honoring Ken December 9, from 1-3 pm at Redemption Church, 585 39th Street, South Ogden. Light refreshments will be provided.
