Out Of State: We spend close to half our time in Mesquite, Beaver Dam
& Apple Valley CA working on learning to retire.
Personal Info:
We still have a few rentals & are still
working part time at our shop getting used to retirement.
Our oldest, Craig works for Cache Valley Electric all over the country where
ever they send him. Chad works for the FAA with the Ogden Airport being his
home base. Marie is a nurse at the LDS hospital and does a little real
estate with her husband. Our next daughter owns "Sandee's Soil & Rock" in
West Haven and Brad our youngest has taken over the auto repair "Holley's"
next to Sandee's. Jon our oldest grandson was 21 in May, Jared will be 17 in
Sept. Holley will be 13 in Oct. & Tate was 8 in Mar. We've been so fortunate
to have all of them except Marie live within five miles and see them often.
We bought our first condo in Mesquite in 1993, a home in '95 a twin home in
'99 and a lot in Beaver Dam, 9 miles north of Mesquite so Carl has something
to do while my sister and I go play. Chad and his wife Kristi built a home
in Mesquite a little over a year ago and we all spend Thanksgiving, X-Mas,
New Years and every other chance they get to get away. We just got back from
5 days with our grandkids the 23rd of Sept. and 6 days later we can hardly
wait to get back. We also spend allot of time in Apple Valley, CA at my
sisters 3 1/2 hrs south when she's not in Mesquite with us. We still work
allot when we're in Ogden but the partial retirement is worth it. We have
great kids and grandkids and a very busy life but have really been blessed
and enjoy every minute. We just pray for good health and allot more time
because the older you get the faster it goes.
