OGDEN – Ronald A. Rey of Ogden, 63, passed away on January 15,
2010 due to complications of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Ron died peacefully surrounded
by his family and friends at the Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 27, 1946 in
Ogden to Elmer and Rose Colaizzi Rey. Ron graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1965. Ron was
employed at Defense Depot Ogden and retired after 28 years of Federal Service.
During that time Ron received a number of Quality and Process
Action awards and was a representative with the Labor Union. Ron was married to Linda Hunsaker on
February 28, 1976, they were later divorced in 1981. Ron's passion was riding his motorcycle. He
was a member of the Golden Spike Bikers Club and took many cross country road trips over the years
with his close friends Bob and Murna Hubert.
Ron is survived by his mother Rose, Aunts Eva Rauzi (Ogden) and
Mary Colaizzi (Orem) and many cousins who loved him dearly. Special thanks to Linda Hart for the
happiness her love brought to Ron and our family over the years. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday
January 19th at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 514 24th Street in Ogden. The viewing was held at
Larkin Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden. Interment at Ogden City Cemetery.
