OGDEN – Janet Faye Sandberg Koehne, 65, passed away on
November 14, 2012 at a friend's house in Layton, UT of natural causes. She was born April 22, 1947
in Ogden, Utah to Virginia Rosetta (Ross) and Frank Albert Sandberg. Janet graduated from Ben
Lomond High School in 1965. She was an active member of the LDS Church, rarely missing a service
even when in a lot of pain and very ill. She made every attempt to attend the temple on a regular
basis.
Janet married Johnny Koehne on May 27, 1970 in Ogden; their marriage was
later solemnized in the Ogden Temple.
She worked at IRS when first married, but spent most of her married life
as a housewife. She enjoyed reading, movies, TV, shopping, traveling, pets and wildlife.
Janet is survived by her husband of 42 years, Johnny; her two daughters,
Jessica Koehne (serving in the Navy in Rota, Spain), and her youngest child, Susan Koehne; she is also
survived by her brother, John (Ann) Jones of AZ; her stepmother, Olive Sandberg; brother-in-law, Joseph
Michelli; sister-in-law, Pat Dodge and various extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her little boy, Matthew Koehne;
two sisters, Carol Michelli and LuAnn Smith; three stepbrothers, Dale, Harry (June) and LaMar
Dodge.
Special thanks to our dear friends, Diane and Bill Hope for their
friendship and care for Janet.
"Throughout life, such pain you endured. But now the pain has ceased, for
you will reside in Paradise forevermore and to Heaven your spirit has been released. Although our
hearts will forever mourn, in Christ's loving arms you will always be."
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at
the Rock Cliff 7th Ward, 300 Gramercy Ave. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8p.m. at Myers
Ogden Mortuary and Tuesday at the church from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. prior to the service. Interment,
Ogden City Cemetery. |
