OGDEN – Stanley Edgar Spell, 61, was called home to our Lord in
Heaven on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his home of natural causes. He was born July 16, 1947 in
Fort Benning, Georgia to James Edgar and Lorene Walker Spell. He graduated from Ben Lomond High
School and attended Weber State College.
Stan served in the US Air Force as an Airman 1st Class from 1965 to
1969 during the Vietnam War. He married Barbara Joanne Bird on December 27, 1969 in Ogden. They
were later divorced. Stan was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 40 years as a Civil Engineer. He
was a member of the Corvette Club of Utah from 1992 to 1998. He loved to hunt, fish and spend
quality time with his children and grandchildren.
Stan is survived by a son, James Stanley Spell, two
daughters, Delores Lorene Spell Bair, Stefanie Elaine Spell, four grandsons, two granddaughters,
and two brothers, William Spell and Ish (Huel) Spell. He was preceded in death by his
parents.

Funeral services will be held March 17th at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary,
3333 West 5600 South. A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45
p.m. at the mortuary. A luncheon will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone Creek LDS Ward
meeting house, 3939 West 4000 South, West Haven for friends and family.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe
Road.
