West Point — Adrienne Hartog, aged 76, of West Point, Utah, passed on June 21, 2024
after a battle with dementia. Born 10/11/1947 in Ogden, Utah, Adrienne graduated
from Ben Lomond High School and later served the Internal Revenue Service for 22
years in the recruiting department until her retirement in 2010. She was recognized
for her service with the Gallatin award.
An active member of the True North Community Church, Adrienne had a devotion to
her faith was evident in her community involvement and charity work,
particularly with Open Hand charity. She will be remembered for her sweet,
loving nature and will be miss by her community.
Adrienne’s fondness for the natural beauty of Yellowstone and the Jackson Hole
area was reflected in the family trips she treasured, especially to a spot they
affectionately named “old ugly.” She also loved Cruising and travel with her
family. Her sweet bubbly spirit will be missed by everyone.
Left to honor Adrienne’s memory are her beloved husband, Dale Hartog; children,
Ryan Gortcinsky and Lisa Jackson; sister, Michelle Cook; stepsons, Clayton and
Chris Hartog; and her cherished five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in death by her late daughter, Dani Lynn Gortcinsky; previous
husband, Eddy R. Gortcinsky; parents, Carroll B. and William M. Cook; and
sister, Judith C. Clark.
Graveside service for Adrienne will be observed at Washington Heights Memorial
Cemetery in Ogden, Utah, Monday, July 1st commencing at 10 am. The staff of the
Washington Heights Memorial Cemetery will provide assistance. In her passing,
Adrienne leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service, in the hearts of those
who knew her. The family would like to give a special heart felt thanks to all
of the Staff at The Peaks at Clinton and Applegate Hospice for their special
care of our Mother. You will be in our hearts forever.
