With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl Kay Schmitt of Omaha, Nebraska, born in Ogden, Utah, who passed away on June 27, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Wangsgard and Phyllis Wangsgard. She is survived by : her husband Victor E. Schmitt; her sons, Paul Schmitt (Judith), Mike Schmitt (Colleen) and Chris Schmitt (Julie); her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Hanna, Ava, Alyssa, Jenna, Eric, Ryan, Kyle, Anna, Ben and Lucas; and her siblings, Lynn Biely (Ken), Gerri Flores (Mike) and Jim Wangsgard (Dana).

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Braman Mortuary (Millard Chapel) (6505 S 144th St, Omaha, NE 68137). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
