Out Of State: After both of us graduating from USU, my hubbie landed
a job with EDS in Topeka, Kansas. After a year we transferred to Camp Hill,
PA (close to Harrisburg). We missed the mountains and family and moved back
in 1975 to Ogden and then Kaysville.
Personal Info:
This website is a great idea. Computers
and the Internet have taken over our lives and we didn't even have them we
were in school! I started out part-time with the Forest Service as a typist
in 1980 and have had some great experiences along the way and I'm still at
it! They will probably have to shove me out the door. I have traveled to
many Forests and Forest Service offices all over the US and worked many
summers as an Information Officer on a team that manages wildfires.
I was an English major in
college and ended up as a computer geek (of sorts). I did teach High School
English for a short time, but after my daughters came along I did the mom
thing for a few years--Girl Scout Leader, soccer mom, horse mom for both
daughters in Pony Club. My love affair with teaching started in college and
has included teaching Tole Painting for Community Ed, and numerous
job-related computer software applications. More recently I am teaching my
7-year-old granddaughter how to sew!
I was promoted in January and
am now a training specialist for the Forest Service IT organization. This
year my youngest presented me with a new grandson on March 31. I just love
tending both grandkids and spending time with family. Maybe when I retire I
can finish some of the many quilts I have started!
