My husband, Bob (BLHS class of 63), and
I are happily retired, empty nesters. We have been married for 31 years. Bob
retired after working for First Security Bank for 34 years. I retired two
years ago. I was an elementary school teacher for the Davis School District
for 30 years. We are enjoying the time we have now to do what we really
like. We are dividing our time between Layton and St. George. Bob is a
voluntary groundskeeper for the Ogden Raptures Baseball Organization. (He
really loves baseball!) I volunteer for Ballet West. I am a member of the
Ballet West Guild Board. We plan fundraisers and events for the ballet. Bob
and I also help find funding and supplies for humanitarian aid projects.
Our only daughter is nineteen. She is trying to become independent, but she
comes home often to visit the Bank of Dad. I like to walk, read, paint, and
go on road trips with a car club we belong to.
I am looking forward to the reunion. Thank you, Melanie, for the great
