Personal Info: After high school I attended the University of Utah for a year, then served an LDS mission to Austria. Returning home I graduated from Weber State College. During college my interest in politics led me to run for mayor of Clinton, Utah but lost by less than 50 votes. I did enough family history research to know that my ancestors, who were very good people, were unfortunately severely beaten with an ugly stick, which explained my condition. My only recourse was to alter the gene pool which I did by finding my beautiful wife, Faye, whom I met in a college registration line. (Just goes to show that a college education really does pay off.) She and I recently celebrated our 34th anniversary. Our four children (2 boys & 2 girls) continued the family gene pool improvement and our cute 11½ grandkids definitely prove the experiment is working.

After we were married, we lived in Ogden, Clinton, and Kaysville for several years where I worked for the LDS Church’s information systems department. I accepted a job with a Fortune 100 company which required a move to St. Louis where we lived for 5 years. Then we moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where we have lived for the last 20+ years. Currently working as the President & CEO of a national healthcare software firm. My job frequently requires me to speak seminars all over the country so Faye and I get to travel together regularly. I wrote one book and am currently editing the manuscript of a second.

As best I can remember high school was a good time but I’m finding that my memory is what it used to be. Initially I was pretty upset at how much I was forgetting but now occasionally not remembering some things isn’t so bad. Recently I think I’ve entered a new phase where I can’t remember how much I’ve forgotten.
